Extra love
Every time I am at Starbucks it seems they don't see me. Three times they have avoided me and taken the next person in line, like I am not standing there. So the other day, I said to the girl, "Those two people cut me in line, it's like you don't even see me standing here."
So she said, "Aww, I'm so sorry," and she calls over to the girl making the coffee -- "Make the next Grande Mocha with extra love!" And the girl making the coffee calls back, "Did you say 'extra light'?" and the first girl says, "No, extra love!"
So she, the coffee maker says, ok, and proceeds.
Before she put the lid on my coffee, she showed it to me. Right on top of the whipped cream, in chocolate syrup, she wrote, "Love." It was so sweet. It made my day.

Simple kindness is great stuff.
i love my Starbucks for the same reason. The girls see me getting out of my car and they have my Venti Americano ready when I get to the counter to pay. other customers give me strange looks because i don't order and sometimes there can be special things on my cup.
for Valentine's there was a heart; for St. Patrick's there was a shamrock. i watched one guy, after i got mine, turn his cup around and look for his heart. when he realized he didn't have it, he gave me a dirty look.
being nice is so important and makes the world a better place. AND it doesn't cost anything...
